Housed on the third level of the Museum, the Canada Corridor illustrates the history of the nation for the final a thousand years with a sequence of life-size displays. Visitors could catch a performance by Dramamuse, the Museum’s in-home theatre company. The troupe stages re-enactments of scenes from the nation’s previous in the exhibit space and can be found to reply questions.
The Canadian Youngsters’s Museum, on the second stage, takes children on an interactive adventure across the world. An artwork studio, puppet theatre, and game section round out the exhibits.
The Museum, in Hull, Quebec, is across the Ottawa River from Parliament Hill, Ottawa. Douglas Cardinal designed the 2 massive curvilinear buildings that make up the museum and the curatorial department. The design was intended to be evocative of the formation of the North American continent and its subsequent reshaping by glaciers, wind, and water.
The Grand Hall exhibit area is just a little over 19,000 square toes (1,782 sq m) and comprises six full-measurement copy facades of houses and totems. Each facade represents a typical chieftain’s dwelling in one in all six Aboriginal communities from coastal British Columbia. The Museum is working with the Native individuals of each region represented to create a cooperative exhibit for the homes’ interiors.
The Canadian Museum of Civilization is devoted to the preservation and show of Canada’s history and to the culture and art of the First Peoples (a typical Canadian term for the pre-European native inhabitants of Canada).
The First Peoples Hall celebrates the contributions of Canada’s First Peoples. Exhibits embrace works of art,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], audiovisual presentations, artifacts, and archival documents. The exhibit is self-guided or a guided tour is on the market for a further fee.
Any traveler keen on Canada’s history and aboriginal folks will want to make a visit to the Canadian Museum of Civilization,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
