Are family gatherings around the holidays something you look forward to,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
When I was married my then husbands family had several members who made me completely miserable at nearly every meeting,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. The increased tension made me cranky and rotten to those around me and my then spouse and I fought about it every year.
One year when I had had enough I said,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], "I've been a bitch to my family and I am done. I am no longer going to expose myself to unpleasant people on Xmas" My husband and the kids went with my blessing and I enjoyed a nice afternoon volunteering or just relaxing and we were all happier for it. Eventually the rest of the family began coming to our place (the nasty bit of the family in addition to not having a clue about being polite hosts also cannot cook) for a nice Xmas Eve dinner with drinks and games afterward. Funny, I have been divorced five years and my ex mother and brother in law always spend Xmas with me and my children where a good time is had by all.
It's funny how some families know how to have fun and enjoy each other's company while other families sit around and try to be polite but there is underlying tension that makes everyone uncomfortable,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. I love spending time with my children and grandchildren but my mom always makes me feel nervous even though I know she means well. I think next year I will try to make Christmas fun by playing some games and having some good food and drinks for everyone,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. We have to make our own happiness and traditions sometimes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
I always look forward to the end of the year,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Not only because of the holidays but because of tax season. I get back ALOT of money (around 4500),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Do you look forward to tax season or is it a headache for you,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]?
I get extremely anxious and depressed around the holidays. Would it make me an ass if I skipped out on the marathon of family dinners and just did something at home like a nice dinner with me and my girlfriend for thanksgiving and christmas?
I been sober for 9 months now,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but I finding it rather boring. Getting high used to take up so much of my time before,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but it was also something that I loved to do and would always look forward to. What can I do instead?
Is your mood affected by the season or the weather or are you pretty much the same mood-wise all year long,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]? Do you tend to get down around the holidays or do you look forward to them,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]?
How do you react when you been with the same woman for 3 years and she alienates your kids? She says she cares for them,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but knit picks about everything and doesn include them in family gatherings, birthdays,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], holidays at her parents house.
