Brooklyn company recalls mattresses that pose a fire hazard
WASHINGTON, Jan. 25 () -- Mattress Cloud Inc. of New York is recalling 1,400 mattresses that fail to meet federal standards for flammability, a watchdog agency said.The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the Brooklyn company's new and renovated (rebuilt) twin, full, queen and king mattresses sets pose a fire hazard The mattresses were sold in a variety of colors and fabrics. The words "Ultra Support" and "Ortho Type" are printed on cloth labels ironed onto the mattresses. They are also tagged with a label that says,[url=http://www.pachasvip.com]hollister outlet[/url], "Manufactured By: The mattress Cloud, 769 Chauncey, Brooklyn, NY 11207."Mattress Cloud mattresses made before Jan. 25,[url=http://www.pachasvip.com]hollister clearance[/url], 2012, are included in the recall. They were sold at stores in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey from August 2011 through January 2012 for $80 to $175.Consumers were advised to contact Mattress Cloud to receive a free replacement mattress. The company will pick up the recalled mattresses, the commission said.Consumers can call 855-622-4233 for information. |
