NASCAR: No penalties for Stewart, LoganoCHARLOTTE, N.C., March 26 () -- NASCAR drivers Tony Stewart and Joey Logano won't be penalized for a post-race dust-up following last weekend's Auto Club 400, racing officials said Tuesday. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Director John Darby said that while the pair "argued a little bit" on pit road at the Fontana, Calif., event, he didn't want to "micromanage drivers' emotions."The altercation came after Logano had crashed with Denny Hamlin on the final lap of the race, allowing Kyle Busch to sneak through for the victory. Logan confronted Stewart afterwards for blocking him when the pair were exiting pit road earlier in the event.During the fight, Stewart pushed Logano, while Logano threw a water bottle before crew members from both teams intervened. "You would hope in today's world that if somebody didn't win a race, they would be upset about it for whatever reason," Darby said. "That's what our drivers do is they try to win races."Hamlin was hospitalized after the crash with a compression fracture in his lower back. He was released late Monday, still complaining of difficulty breathing, USA Today reported.Yankees finalize trade for Vernon WellsTAMPA, Fla., March 26 () -- The New York Yankees confirmed Tuesday they have obtained three-time all-star outfielder Vernon Wells from the Los Angeles Angels for two minor leaguers. The previously reported trade will add Wells to a Yankees lineup depleted by injuries to star sluggers Mark Teixeira, Derek Jeter and Curtis Granderson.Under the deal, the Angels will pay around $29 million of the $42 million owed Wells owed over the next two years, the New York Daily News reported. The 34-year-old has cracked 259 home runs over 14 major league seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays and the Angels.
