Government interference and the market,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
It seems like every argument about government interference in the market turns into some claiming that although it's true that government interferes too much in the market,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the market isn't perfect,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], like the housing bubble,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they claim it's a combination of government interference and the maret that caused the bubble -- it certainly wasn't a free market,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and that's the point. I was just involved in a similar argument at another site.
When government interferes in the market,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you can no longer talk about the "market" as if you are talking about a free market,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], because the market is being guided and perverted by external forces. We usually don't hold someone responsible for their actions when their actions are being coerced by external forces.
A analogy would be if I was responsible for a company's finances,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the CFO,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and the owner tells me I don't have to keep good records,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], just try to be close,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and to overlook any discrepancies which are associated with marketing -- that if they come up short,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the owner will take care of it. Then when the company goes bankrupt,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], both the owner and I am accused of being the cause of the bankruptcy,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], me because I wasn't using proper bookkeeping methods.
