the First Fight Review
So Chuck and Sarah had their first fight as a couple in this episode. Since this is Chuck, the fight had to be over grabbing Chuck mom just before she met her daughter because she was in fact a double agent turned bad. That doesn even completely cover the whole situation. One could hardly blame Chuck for being a little mad.
Even after becoming a spy and seeing the worst in people, Chuck is still good natured and he still wants to trust people, his mother in particular. So of course his first thought was to get into the holding cell where Casey and Sarah stashed his mother and get some sort of information that could clear her. She claimed to have worked as a double agent for Mi6 and that she had to go into deep cover to protect her family. She gave Chuck the name of her handler and the location where they next to meet. Chuck slipped away from Casey and Sarah to meet the Handler with the backup of the best spy at his disposal, Morgan.
Timothy Dalton guest stars as the Gregory Tuttle,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Chuck mom handler and he the goofiest that he ever been, even more so than when he was Bond. Where were the Bond jokes in this episode? Dalton is a scene stealer in this episode from beginning to end. He and Chuck recover some disks that can only be played in a special computer hidden in Chuck father old hideout. These disks apparently had the information needed to clear Chuck mother. The two of them had quite an adventure from fighting with Ana Gasteyer to parachuting and riding in a truck with some sheep. Talk about underutilizing a great comedic actress, Ana Gasteyer really didn get enough to do. Hopefully she be around in a future episode.
At the same time, Mary is negotiated with Sarah, Casey, and Morgan to visit with Ellie in exchange for information that might help them find Chuck. This visit was one of the most important scenes in the series so far because Mary literally told Ellie everything from the beginning about her father and about where she been. Now, there are no more secrets between Chuck, Ellie, and their parents, at least until the next twist in the story. It be interesting to see just what that twist will be.
If Chuck has a mythology,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], then this would be considered a mythology episode. The focus is heavily on Chuck, Ellie, and their mother. Sarah is around, Casey and Morgan get very little to do, and the Buy More crew was nowhere to be found. At least Morgan and Sarah each got funny scenes. Sarah actually referenced during a fist fight where between punches she and Chuck were having a fight of their own. The character balance was a little off in this episode but there was so much story and two really great cliffhanger endings that not getting to see Big Mike, Jeff, and Lester was absolutely fine. Tuttle will be around in more episodes, but he probably won be quite as much fun as he was in the first half of this installment. But you never can tell with this show.

Yeah, decent episode. I just hope that now somehoe Ellie gets "Intersect-ed" instead of/in addition to Chuck. She needs more to do in this show. Another character who grows on me more and more is Devon (aka Capt Awesome). When I first was introduced to him way back,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I told myself,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], "Self,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], this guy is a douche." Turns out he is rather funny.
I am getting tired of the Chuck's mom is good. no wait,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she's bad. now she's good. actually she is a bad spy with a good heart. puh-Lease! Pick something and go with it already!!!
