Fatigued Boston Celtics aim to overcome LA Lakers to capture 17th title,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
It was frustrating to say the least and,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], coming on top of their late defeat against the Lakers on Sunday night,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], could potentially slow the team momentum as they attempt to win the NBA title for a record-breaking 17th time,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but the first since 1986.
They currently lead the Lakers 3-2 in the best-of-seven series with games six and seven,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], if necessary,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], to be played in Boston.
"It could come down to a game of mental toughness,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who fights the fatigue mentally better than the other group,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," Celtics coach Doc Rivers had warned after the Lakers' 103-98 victory in game five to keep LA's title hopes alive.
One Celtics player whose mind was more at ease on Monday was Ray Allen,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who is expected to play in game six after dashing from the locker room in the aftermath of game five to be with his son Walker,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who had fallen ill. Tests did not reveal anything sinister but Allen remained in Los Angeles for the day and was intending to take a night flight to Boston so that he could be available for tonight game.
