Spotted leaving the legendary Nurburgring, our spies captured this mule for the next Astra hot hatch wearing a seriously oversized set of alloys. <br />The 19-inch rims are wrapped in tyres being specially developed for the car by German firm Continental,<a href="http://www.massimosurdo.it/public/mappa/Occhiali-da-Sole-Oakley.htm" target="_blank" class="postlink">Oakley Italy</a>, while the wheel features a unique spoke design which not only looks the part,<a href="http://www.massimosurdo.it/public/Guccibagsoutlet.htm" target="_blank" class="postlink">Gucci Handbags hot sale</a>, but is designed to direct cooling air onto the car's brakes. The stoppers are made by Italian specialists Brembo,<a href="http://www.massimosurdo.it/public/mappa/ItalyOakley.htm" target="_blank" class="postlink">Occhiali da Sole Oakley</a>, and feature gloss black calipers and drilled discs. <br />The wheel, tyre and brake combination will be necessary to tame the Astra's impressive power levels. The car will use a thoroughly uprated version of the firm's 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. But while the current unit produces 237bhp, a Vauxhall spokesman confirmed that the next car will produce "levels of power that will rival the Focus RS." <br />But despite the serious power, the Astra VXR won't be four-wheel drive. Instead,<a href="http://www.etnatouring.com/TRXTraining.htm" target="_blank" class="postlink">Italia TRX Training</a>, it will use a sophisticated limited-slip diff and a version of the Insignia VXR's torque-taming HyPerStrut system. <br />The firm will show the GTC Paris concept at the Paris Motor Show,<a href="http://www.massimosurdo.it/public/OakleyItaly.htm" target="_blank" class="postlink">Economico Oakley M Frame</a>, which will preview the three-door version of the Astra.
