Not all plants are safe for Fido. In fact, many household plants can poison your beloved four-legged friend. These poisonous plants include but not limited to azalea, daffodil, oleander, lily-of-the-valley, yew, jasmine, oaks, mistletoe and buttercups. If you cannot or do not want to get rid of these plants, you should at least keep them out of your pet's reach to prevent them from being poisoned. <br />2. Cleaning agents such as laundry detergent, toilet bowl cleaners, pool chemicals, dishwasher detergents and drain cleaners contain hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid and phosphoric acid. These chemicals can cause ulcer in the mouth, larynx and esophagus, lack of appetite, vomiting, panting and shock.
