All are scheduled to be delivered over four years under a 2010 contract that includes engineering services.Iveco said all the variants feature FPT Industrial Cursor engines, fitted with automated EuroTronic transmissions and Automatic Drivetrain Management.A total of 350 vehicles have already been delivered to Swiss assemblers under the contract's delivery arrangement. The hand-over ceremony was held at the Arms square of the Swiss Army in Thun, located near the Swiss capital, and involved demonstrations of the trucks through the use of technical presentations, a static display and tests. In other Swiss military news, the country's armed forces plan to ask Parliament for approval to procure all-terrain vehicles from Mercedes Benz. The Mercedes-G vehicles would feature a six-cylinder, 184-horsepower diesel engine and would be used to transport troops and cargo.
