compulsivebuying shopping compulsiveshopping
Day nothing, no credit cards. Have an acquaintance conserve the buying for you personally, and also you pay him or her back -- but explain the issue therefore the friend helps you control the spending.
If you need to go out alone, have a very small amount of cash (coffee money) and no charge cards. When you are for any walk, take nothing whatsoever. Look without having to be in a position to buy. Train you to ultimately go out without buying anything.
It sounds as if you have a problem. You can seek professional help and/or a 12 step program (for example, Debtors Anonymous). One, another,

, or both will probably provide you with relief. Recommended.

It may sound in my experience (and I am not really a professional) like marketing has been successful. I believe you are normal,

, even if in small hole. Maybe try some self-help books that take you away from affluenza, I like The Art of Happiness through the Dalai Lama.
I believe it's relatively simple for us to visualize that any of our behaviours fall inside a range that people can label as sick, which takes the duty away from us to be disciplined and choose new behaviours. Sometimes we do the wrong thing (wrong as in not helpful to us, certainly not immmoral) and that we want a great excuse so we don't feel bad.
Obviously, you may be bipolar,

, or agoraphobic - it's impossible to diagnose on the internet (particularly seeing as IANAD) but exactly how about trying for the other option first?

What is can one do about this and is it possible that I've OCD or another disorder for which I'm able to get strategy to?
I doubt you've OCD because, from what you've described, you don't appear to be exhibiting general behaviour that will point to anything on that spectrum -- from that which you say it's all about shopping/buying stuff, and you're not obsessing about other things.
But you will have a problem, and it's one I'm sure you tell thousands of others the world over, so most. It's a big step to ask for help here; it implies that you recognise you have a problem that you want a fix -- however the best anyone here could tell you is to see a professional. So that's your next step.

Like everybody else has said, IANAD, but yes, seems like possible that you've got a problem that may require specialist to deal with. As you are in school, in addition to that, it might be smart to speak to your counselor. You don't want these problems to translate into trouble checking up on school. If that does happen, your school counselor will be able to assist you with some resources to get additional help.

So you've collected mounds of stuff through the years while hearing the siren song of your Muse Acquisita. And suddenly your wants are unchanged while your means are reduced. Try reversing the cash outflow by directing that energy into auctioning off a number of your spoils,

The tides of eBay flow in two directions, in the end.

It does not sound like OCD--you may have a panic or anxiety or depressive disorder (who knows). I would try a few of the practical suggestions offered so far--if ater 6-12 weeks the depression persists (or anxiety that may simply be relieved by spending/buying) I would suggest specialist. If you're a full time student it may be available through the Univrsity. It does appear that something is missing in your life--perhaps a bit of self esteem and some self discipline--I am sure you realize rationally that you can not spend/buy the right path to contentment and you sure can't stabilize your relationships through unaffordable gifts, meals etc. Good luck

You sound more depressed and dissatisfied together with your life than OCD about anything. Should you be an obsessive shopper,

I used to compulsively buy things. I understand it's harder for many people, but throwing out a lot of junk or offering the main things out of your collection helps. it's nice to have additional room. For instance, I'd a mini tea set collection of over 90 teasets! I had to tell my buddies that my collection was permanently retired, because naturally which was my default gift. they'd increase my collection. I gave away some, not really as gifts for just about any occasion,

, I've had these teasets for a long time and no one's been hurt by my eliminating ones they'd given me. it was just too much.
Getting treated for my depression also solved the problem stop buying just to make myself feel better.

The BBC includes a show, Spendaholics that is entirely devoted to helping people just like you. Check out these pointers. Maybe you'll find a way to watch the shows,

For me,

, you'll feel a lot better. On top of that, you will need to create a real effort to prevent judging yourself and are available to terms with any emotional baggage in the past that you're still dragging around. On Spendaholics, this frequently involves frank conversations with parents, but obviously every case will change.
