Equestrian Products - Woof Wear : A review
Woof Wear have been, designing, creating and manufacturing horse boots from the highest quality neoprene,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Kevlar and Airprene alongside cutting edge manufacturing techniques and state-of-the-art computer aided design. They take great care to ensure that all their materials and final products meet tough international quality standards and along with feedback from customers, riders and other professionals in the industry they confidently produce brushing boots,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], bandages, fetlock boots, tendon boots and boots to protect the horses' pasterns and heels during exercise,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], travelling whilst turned out or in the stable. All their products are hard-wearing and provide protection but also work in harmony with the horse and its needs at the time.
Closed Cell Neoprene is a light flexible and extremely hardwearing material and used in many of Woof Wear's products. It resists compression and will not retain water. This means that the horse has maximum protection from any impacts to the area and that the boot is securely moulded to the contours of the horses' leg.
Their High Density Locking Straps used on Woof Wear horse boots are made from hook and loop fastening tape. They have been stringently tested and provide the horse with the perfect balance between a secure fit, durability and comfort.
Kevlar is a man-made fibre that is known to be stronger than steel. Woof Wear use this bonded to neoprene to create a tough abrasion resistant finish. The breathable neoprene used in many of the Woof Wear boots has vents throughout to encourage airflow through it aiding in keeping joints and subcutaneous tissues and structures cool whilst protected. It is light and doesn't retain water that could cause the product to take on weight.
The Nylon Jersey finish that many of the boots are finished with creates a soft and comfortable layer between the horses leg and the boot. It is bonded to the neoprene.
The PVC Vinyl striking pads used are stitched to the neoprene giving maximum outer protection and maximum internal comfort against injuries. They also have the added benefit of being abrasion resistant and wipe clean.
The Overreach boots made by Woof Wear have an anti spin device,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], preventing them from slipping around the horses hoof when the horse moves. This sits snugly into the back of the heel giving the horse better protection from overreach injuries as the boot is shaped to provide its best protection when fitted correctly. |
