Sylvia's Sitcom,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
Class was short and sweet- my last CS315 class!
Then I went shopping for shoes with Fairy. I bought a pair of Nike Air Max and a pair of baby blue and white Filas (I hadn't worn that brand since I was 11) for compared to Plus, the manager of the Shoe Carnival, where the aforementioned shoes were purchased,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], is Fairy's friend's dad, so I may get an extra 30% off. That would just be icing on my cheap ass cake.
After that, I ran home to the Burg for a wake. Jo's grandpa died; but, the funny thing is that it may be a good thing. Sure, it hurts to lose a loved one, but the guy had Alzheimer's or something- he'd run away from the house and the whole neighborhood would be on the lookout for him. And, I got to talk to Jo,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which I hadn't really done in years. Yes, years.
We grew up the bestest of friends. I met her when I could barely walk, and we were close until my junior year of high school. We shared lockers my sophomore year, and I could see us growing apart. When she graduated, she moved out of town and we pretty much lost touch for a while. I would think about her every once in a while, and I felt shitty because we weren't friends anymore, and all I wanted to do is call her up, but I was too chicken.
Well, I went to her grandpa's wake. alone (because Froggy's a damned liar). and I seriously can't deal with death. So, I popped in,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], signed the guestbook, took a little "In Remembrance" paper thingy, and crept into the chapel.
LOTS of people were there. I planned on avoiding the body, but his wife was right beside his body. I waited patiently as she and Jo's father talked to guests. I started staring out into space when all of a sudden I feel someone tug on my arm- it's her grandma. I give her a HUGE hug, but this hug transferred her scent unto me, so I smelled like "Eau de Grandma" for the rest of the night (and I had a dinner to go to later).
Then, I didn't really see anyone else, so I left just as swiftly as I came. I drove around a bit because, like I said, I can't deal with death. Well, as I'm heading into town, the road is blocked by a traffic accident. I glanced over at other traffic when I see this silver Jeep Liberty- it's Jo.
I follow her back to the funeral home, and I give her a huge hug too. We chatted for an hour or so and made plans to play catch-up during Christmas Break.
That is, of course, if I can make it through next week. I have 5 exams: Mon- Calc 4, Wed- Honors and Numerical Methods, and Fri- Microcomputer Organization and my Programming class. On top of this, my mummy has surgery on Wednesday. She was rushed to the doctor this Monday, saw a surgeon on Tuesday, and was scheduled for surgery for next Wednesday- she has a hernia.
Although this will be pretty damn tough, my friends are really awesome. They give me lots of hugs and encouragement. And even though they have finals too, many have offered to help me with anything I need. That makes me feel special. all warm and fuzzy inside.
Lisa, my suitemate who I often call Sleasa,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], gave Laura and I lots of candy in cute containters. She knows me too well- mine's a Pinguin! It was filled with Starburst, Reese cups, and Raspberry Lipsmacker (more LIPSMACKER for ME, KAREN)!!
Well, Laura is watching SMUT (an appropriate jumble of MUST) SEE TV,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Elimidate. She cracks me up. I'm gonna read until I feel tired enough to sleep. probably help Sarah the English Major on her essay.
