Football Fans and NFL Cities Should Go on Strike
I GUESS THE OWNERS AN PLAYERS TAKE THE FANS FOR GRANTED,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. WAT THE ECONOMY IS GOING WE MIGHT NOT HAVE ANY MONEY TO BUY GAS TO GO TO THE GAME. I SAY FANS SHOULD RISE AND HOLD THIER OWN WALK OUT. HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT SEASON.
Have supported the Denver Broncos for years, buying their NFL jerseys and other,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], NFL Network and even special programing to see their games in Georgia. No more, If the owners and players are too greedy to give back anything as they have shown, it is time for me to focus on other interests. It's a shame that their willing to give up so much. Men and Women I guess it is a message to get our houses in order and focus on our families, focusing on playing football and other with them instead of the entertainment and inactivity that is provided by the NFL. It will be a big adjustment, but one that will make us better. I'm all in.
If we're successful with this one,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], then the NBA and NHL who may have lockouts in the next 4-7 won't even think about it! If everyone boycotted the NFL from all games,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], merchandise,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and I'm even boycotting the TV games (I'll watch replays of course where the tv advertisers don't get the benefit) it would be devastating to the NFL and they might wake up!
Any help I would really appreciate it! If we can get 2.5 millon signatures it might even prevent a lockout altogether,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]!
Take Care,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],

"Ideally,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the teams would follow the example of the Super Bowl-winning Green Bay Packers and be run as nonprofits owned by the city residents. The players have organized to protect their rights. It's time the fans and host cities did the same thing."
Better yet,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Why don't we just start our own NFL. Every state can have their own team. A small amount of taxes can pay for it,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with a price cap on tickets and a price cap on salaries. This way any fan can afford to go to a game, and there are never any worries about a team moving, the team belongs to the fans. You are asking beyond too much from a fan base that absolutely loves its football people wont be able to refrain themselves from the sport for too long.
But you sure can stage a Boycott for one game! across the nation you can have fans not show up for the opening game of the year,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and you can have them not watch it on TV for that one Sunday.
That is going to be your best bet on this issue, if it ever gets down to August or September where the season is threatened. if they resolve this thing in May 98% of people will forget about it by the time the thing starts. And please dont paint the overpaid millionaires that play the game as the victims, they are enjoying the fat end of the pie for a while now and need to be reminded who's in charge. They are NOT forced to play football for a profession, they can choose to do something else. and the minimum salary in the NFL is $375,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],000.00 per year.
Even a guy in the practice squad which all they do is "practice" or in other words do absolutely nothing but show up and run around everyday makes $5200 a week!!! A WEEK,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]!!!!! and you want to pin this on the owners??? no this thing is on the players if they want more "revenue" money BUY YOUR OWN TEAM!!! greedy players
I agree that fans should hit the owners and players where it hurts, in their pockets. I learned years ago a strategy of protest that might just work here.
Most owners and many players are owners, partners or investors in other businesses. If fans put together a list of businesses associated with NFL owners and players, they can boycott the products of those businesses.
You think sponsors dropped Tiger Woods like a hot potato, wait'll affiliated businesses of the NFL see a drop in sales and investments. Watch as television satellite affiliates begin suing the NFL because Fans are cancelling subscriptions due to the NFL's negligent behavior.
There's more fans than owners and players,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it would definitely get their attention. We fans have much more power than we realize. The key is to organize and act with a tactical purpose.
