Anger is a deadly emotion,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
This week's episode of 'Wilfred' entitled "Anger", which aired August 11,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], focused more precisely on the most unlikable character of the show,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Kristen (Dorian Brown). By now we can see that she is not the most influencing or accepting sister that Ryan (Elijah Wood) needs right now in his life,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but he still tries to be a good brother to her anyway. What goes from anger progressed from a past soul begins to manifest itself into Ryan,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who will stop at nothing to get the truth once and for all.
The episode begins with Kristen demoralizing Ryan,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], once again,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], for not doing anything with his life other than caring for his neighbor's dog Wilfred (Jason Gann). She wants him to be more like her, if that is even possible,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and she insists on him helping her throw a party she is having; this however is not what it seems as she tells him he must be a waiter at the shindig. Regardless, Ryan decides to help and this is how the main setting for the story is set-up.
Back at the house,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Wilfred and Ryan are in the basement looking through some old items of Ryan's past. Wilfred stumbles upon a dog collar, which he considers a rich material intended for a special dog. It turns out to be the collar of Ryan's deceased dog of 20 years named Sneakers. Flashbacks begin to settle in,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], as they did at the very beginning of the episode,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and Ryan remembers finding his dog floating in their pool; dead from apparently drowning. Wilfred of course doesn't care and puts on the collar only to find out that he is not himself, which seems to be because the soul of Sneakers has found its way into Wilfred's body.
Sneakers tells Ryan that it was not his fault for him dying in the pool, but that it was Kristen who apparently left the gate to the pool open; but for all this time Ryan has lived with the guilt of his death. Ryan of course doesn't believe him and thinks it is Wilfred who is tying to ruin Kristen's party and the relationship all together. It isn't until Wilfred performs similar tricks like Sneakers and tells Ryan things only he could know,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but Ryan decides to confront Kristen and find out the truth for himself.
After Sneakers suggests killing Kristen to get the ultimate revenge,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Ryan ignores Sneakers/Wilfred's request and has them wait in the car until the end of the party. But Ryan wants the truth and this is where the anger of 20 years finally comes out as he stands up against his sister. Suddenly,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Sneakers/Wilfred interrupts the party causing all mayhem and attempts to electrify Kristen in her pool to enact his revenge and kill her in a same way she did him. In the end we do find out the truth about Sneakers and we learn that Kristen was responsible for his death. She breaks down in tears for what happened and admits that she actually likes Wilfred and attempts to make peace with him.
As hilarious as this week's episode was,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the most heartfelt part of the series so far was the very end when Ryan and Wilfred are in the basement following the events of the party. Wilfred wants to make peace between Sneakers and Ryan and requests that Ryan hug him like he did Sneakers. As this occurs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the camera changes to reveal Ryan holding his actual dog Sneakers in his arms and looking very happy to be with him once more; it is very emotional to say the least and it brings Ryan back to his beloved childhood.
With only about five episodes left in the season,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 'Wilfred' has given us some great comedy to remember so far and the relationship between Ryan and Wilfred seems to be going in strange directions each time,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but they are still ultimately friends who care for one another; just like how Ryan cared for his deceased dog Sneakers. Nevertheless,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], this show has its great moments and with its renewal for a second season, this show is only just beginning.
