Searching for a new keyboard,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
So, honestly,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], when can we expect some wireless keyboards ( KB+mouse combos) with the proper horizontal layout of the Insert/Home keys instead of the new craptastic vertical layout that relocated the Insert key and sticks in a double size delete key?
Don't take this as a threat,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], since I'm not one of those blindly brand loyal folks anyway,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but I've always liked the design and quality of Logitech gear (although I still lament the demise of the Trackman Marble + for the new clown shoes models) - and figured I'd give you some feedback on the new layout trend. However, I'm done buying Logitech until I can get what I need - the wireless combo I have now should last a while longer,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and the G11/15 is ok for a wired config,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but isn't really a standard keyboard. Rest easy,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Microsoft won't get my cash either as they've adopted the short bus configuration as well,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], so I'll have to go to Keytronic or others unless you all have something coming down the pipe designed for regular computer users.
I would also like to see a standard-layout keys,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but a small one. I purchased diNovo keyboards because I could use it without the numeric keypad. However,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the main keyboard has a big Delete key inplace of the Insert key and it is very annoying to be deleting text instead of inserting! Why would anybody move keys to different positions. That is like reversing the positions of Left/Right arrow keys. Not only would it be confusing, but you would be performing diametrically *opposite* functions!
Same problem with the F-Lock key. It is located where F1 should be,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], so I keep pressing that and then the keyboard is in the wrong mode and other F-keys do not work properly. To make the matter worse,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the sound feature to indicate Lock keys does not work for F-Lock (apparently a bug). It would be nice if Logitech considered people who touch-type and placed all the keys in the correct places.
Another thing that makes the layout poor is that there are no touch-cues. With F-keys groups so close together there should be a physical divider between the groups,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. They can be feeled and easier to type without looking,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Others like Windows-key and Menu-key should be made lower and/or have a diver separating them to prevent accidental activation when hunting for Alt-key,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
