The goverment tax bill may be the first serious blow to the actor as a result of Operation Wickenby's long-running inquiry into offshore tax havens,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
Urbanski,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a close friend of the actor,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], demanded tougher scrutiny from the ATO's "unfettered,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], secret investigations".
"The question is not about Hogan,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it comes down to the violent methodology of career prosecutors,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," he explained.
The tax office has accused Hogan,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that has lived in both the US and Australia,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], of neglecting to pay tax on film royalties that most likely originated from his blockbuster Crocodile Dundee franchise.
